SSF Merge is a mail-merge add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint: mark the slides that repeat, paste a table, and get one set of slides per row. If it is not doing that, here is how to get it sorted.

What to expect: SSF Merge is maintained by one person, so this is best effort rather than a support desk with hours. I wrote the code, so you will get a real answer rather than a ticket number, usually within a few working days.

Please include this

It turns a report into something reproducible, and usually saves a round trip:

• The build code. The task pane prints it in its own header, on the right: seven characters, like 4faaae5. It says exactly which version you were running.
• Which PowerPoint: on the web, Windows, or Mac.
• What you did, and what happened instead. The step you were on is enough to place it, because the pane numbers them one to five.
• The deck, if you can share it. A file says more than a description of one, and a merge problem is usually about the template rather than the data. Do not send anything confidential. A cut-down deck that still shows the problem is better for both of us.

Worth checking first

• Does the pane say it cannot run? SSF Merge needs PowerPointApi 1.2 to read your deck and insert the merged slides. PowerPoint 2013 does not have it, so on an old enough PowerPoint the add-in installs and then tells you it cannot run. There is no way around that one short of a newer PowerPoint.
• Nothing found on the slides? The braces are probably curly quotes rather than straight ones. {{Name}} has to be typed, not autocorrected. Retype them.
• A placeholder still showing after a merge? That is deliberate when no column matches it: a field with no data stays on the slide rather than blanking out, because a slide that looks finished and is not is worse than one that says what is missing.
• Everything else is in the manual: placeholders, number and date formats, pictures, charts, and what each step does.

Your data

SSF Merge has no server and sends nothing anywhere: your slides and your table are read inside the task pane, on your own device. The privacy policy says so in full, including the one thing it stores locally and why.
